The famous sportswear company has ended its partnership with the rapper after the controversy related to anti-Semitic phrases. Adidas has ended its partnership with Kanye West after the controversy related to anti-Semitic phrases. “Ye’s recent comments and actions are unacceptable, hateful and dangerous and violate our company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” explained Adidas, noting that the production of the rapper’s line products, Yeezy, it was discontinued effective immediately. The collaboration started in 2013.
Yesterday Bloomberg News reported the statements of a source close to the sportswear company, which said that the company would have been willing to officially and permanently stop all collaborative relationships with the rapper.
The American musician and entrepreneur – known as Kanye West even though he now goes by the name Ye (a name he has officially replaced the previous one) – has been at the center of a wave of offensive behavior in recent weeks.
Due to his conduct, Adidas has now officially decided to end the partnership with the artist and designer.
The news comes after the sportswear company announced on October 6 that it had questioned its business relationship with West.
The latter made anti-Semitic comments that led to widespread outrage on social media, and the backlash of almost every company the musician and designer did business with.
AND PAROLE THE KANYE WEST

Kanye West, Balenciaga also cuts relations with the rapper
A clip in which Kanye West is seen speaking during his podcast hosted at Drink Champs , dating back to October 16, has attracted everyone’s attention, with the rapper seemingly mocking the brand in a blatant manner.
“The fact of me and Adidas is like: I can say me ** a anti-Semite and Adidas can’t kick me out. What now? What now?” West said.
As soon as the aforementioned clip went viral, the hashtag #BoycottAdidas became trending on Twitter. An exhortation from the users of the social network to boycott the sportswear brand, which until a few hours ago had not taken an official and definitive position towards West.
With the hashtag #BoycottAdidas, the network wanted to push the fashion brand to follow the example of other companies, putting an end to commercial relations with the rapper.
A petition has been published on change.org in the past few hours asking Adidas to abandon the partnership with Ye following his anti-Semitic invectives. The petition quickly amassed countless signatures.
THE WORDS OF THE DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIAL MARKETING OF ADIDAS
Kanye West banned from Twitter again for anti-Semitic post
In the last few hours, the director of commercial marketing of Adidas, Sarah Camhi, expressed herself in a post on LinkedIn, when the sportswear company had not yet formalized the stop of relations with West.
“As a member of the Jewish community, I can no longer remain silent on behalf of the brand that employs me. Saying nothing is saying everything,” wrote Camhi. “It’s been 14 days since Kanye started throwing up anti-Semitic rhetoric and Adidas has remained silent, both internally (in regards to) our employees and externally (in regards to) our customers,” continued the commercial marketing director of Adidas.
Camhi urged Adidas to “do better”, which the company has now done. His LinkedIn post continues with the following words: “We have abandoned Adidas athletes for the use of steroids […] but we are unwilling to denounce hate speech, the perpetuation of dangerous stereotypes and blatant racism by of one of our best brand partners, ”writes Adidas’s commercial marketing director.
There are many brands and companies that in recent days have announced that they will no longer collaborate with Kanye West.
According to the Kering group, Balenciaga (Maison of which Kering is the parent company) has cut all ties with West. “Balenciaga no longer has any relationship or plans for future projects related to this artist,” the Kering Group said in a statement to Woman’s Wear Daily last week.
West was also abandoned by the CAA agency, which has represented him since 2016. And a documentary (already finished) that focused on his life has been discarded by the MRC film studio. In an open letter, MRC executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu and Scott Tenley said they “cannot support any content that amplifies” West’s voice. “The silence of leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or the anti-Semitism in general is dismayed but not surprising. What is new and sad is the fear that Jews have of speaking in their own defense ”.
THE WORDS OF KIM KARDASHIAN, EX-WIFE OF KANYE WEST
The rapper’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, publicly expressed her support for the Jewish community by turning to Twitter to condemn anti-Semitic hatred.
Kardashian, however, avoided naming West directly, preferring to write the following words: “Hate speech is never acceptable or excusable. I am with the Jewish community and ask that the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric against them end immediately” .
